Free Scalzi!

Thanks to Subterranean Press and John Scalzi, ConFusion will be giving away copies of The Sagan Diary by John Scalzi to the first 900 people. Get 'em while they're hot!

That's "free" the adjective as in "gratis"; not "free" the verb as in "release". What, you thought John Scalzi was being held a political prisoner or something?

New this year: TeenFusion!

Teens, EPIC ConFusion has plans for you! We will have panels, Dungeons and Dragons, crafts, readings and talks with Young Adult authors and games as well. On Saturday night we will have a Harry Potter Masquerade Party feel free to come dressed as your favorite character. The plan is to watch some of the movies, play some Harry Potter trivia, hang out and snack. PIZZA will be served at 7 p.m. and the party runs until 1 a.m.

Pro GoH -- Patrick Rothfuss

Patrick Rothfuss had the good fortune to be born in Wisconsin where long winters and lack of cable television brought about a love of reading and writing. His mother read to him as a child, and his father taught him to build things. If you are looking for the roots of his storytelling, look there.

Masquerade

Ladies and gentlemen BAMM! Hear all about it ConFusion is Masquerade theme is Biif Pow!! Comic Hero's and Villain's come Battle out on our Stage Saturday night.

From Wood Pulp to Pixels don your cape in the nearest phone booth and see you there.

Authors! We Got 'em! Apart from our wonderful Guests of Honor, these authors and editors have confirmed that they'll be coming to Epic ConFusion.

Science GoH -- Harley Thronson

Dr. Harley Thronson works at the Sciences and Exploration Directorate, and is working on planned space missions far out beyond where we've gone before - which we think is pretty darned "Epic"!

Literature Programming

Books and stories, reading and writing, myth and legend, fantasy and reality, science fiction and science fact. Once again ConFusion is set to bring you energetic and fascinating discussions on the written word and the state of the genre. Join Patrick Rothfuss, Jim Hines, and all of our author guests as they tackle every crazy topic we can throw at them.

Music Programming

Join us for the Music track, where we celebrate the music and performers of the fan community. Not everything is set yet, but there will be concerts, and a couple of panels, and open music circles at night, and even a chance for you to show your creative side on stage!
